Tolerances

A) FOR COLD DRAWN ELECTRIC RESISTANCE WELDED TUBES :

1) Thickness

a) Mean thickness
i) ± 0.8mm for tubes upto & including 2.0mm thick
ii) ± 0.1mm for tubes above 2.0mm thick upto & including 5.0mm thick

b) In any one tube – ± 10% of the actual mean thickness of the tube.

2) Mean inside diameter or outside diameter (whichever is specified)

a) ± 0.1mm for tubes upto & including 38.0mm diameter.

b) ± 0.1mm with the addition of ± 0.03mm for each 13mm or part thereof over 38.0mm diameter.

B) ELECTRIC RESISTANCE WELDED TUBES :

i) Thickness ± 8%
ii) Mean outside diameter :
