Thickness:
The thickness of tapes shall be 0.5mm, 0.8mm, 1.0mm 0r 1.25mm
with a tolerance of ± 5 %.
Width:
The tapes may be supplied in the widths of 25mm, 32mm, 35mm,
40mm, 50mm, 70mm & 80mm. The tolerance of width will be
± 2 %.
Mechanical Properties
Tensile Strength : 300 –450 MPA
Elongation : 10 % Min
Galvanizing Requirements
Mass of Zinc Coating is 210 grams
per Square metre.
- Uniformity
of coating is ensured by testing scientifically drawn samples
by dip method.
- The samples are tested for three
dips of 1 minute each in copper sulphate solution.
- Adhesion
of Zinc is ensured by testing samples by turning the strips
on mandrel.
